Hello, my name is Owen Neaman. For most of my time growing up in New York City and studying music and journalism at Oberlin College, I’ve grown to love reading about music almost as much as listening to it. As my body of writing rapidly expanded, I wanted to create an outlet to share what I’m listening to and what concerts I see. I’ve been writing about music and media for on-campus publications since 2023, and felt that I should start a site to keep track of what I hear, see, and sometimes feel.
Music is present in almost every aspect of my life. I write music, record, and gig in a band, work as a sound technician, and attend any concerts I can in my free time. I clawing through whatever literature I can find on an interesting artist. This site will function as a log for the new music I discover week to week; for new releases and new gems that I’ve just discovered. I’ll also post opinion pieces and long-form concert reviews and interviews. Comments are open to everyone, and I hope I can spotlight local artists that I hear. Enjoy!
